Frozen Mango Smoothie Recipe

This delicious frozen mango smoothie recipe is so very smooth and creamy that you’ll think it’s pudding!  If it is too thick for you to enjoy properly, then you can always thin it a bit by adding a bit more cream or apple juice.  Of course, if you would prefer a shake, then you could freeze the yogurt and enjoy a really cool treat!

Blending This Marvelous Frozen Mango Smoothie Recipe

When making smoothies, blending is the ultimate art!  You should never toss the ingredients into a blender, mix, and expect to achieve the best (and most flavorful) results!

There are many things you should consider when blending ingredients together.  Mastering The Art Of Blending Fabulous Smoothies covers most of them, but here’s a few blending tips for this recipe.

When you use frozen mango chunks, it’s best to use fresh mangoes.  You can use the chunks you find in the freezer section of your grocery store, but I wouldn’t recommend this.  When you use fresh fruit that you have frozen yourself, you will know that you are getting the most optimal flavor possible!

Apple juice is another thing you should consider, as not all juices taste the same.  One thing that may surprise you, is the way one item can have many different flavors.  I love apple juice, I can’t drink enough of it!  But I absolutely refuse to purchase some brands, because they taste just plain horrible!

You can usually determine the quality of juice, by looking at two very important things.  The price, and the ingredients.  If the price is low, then you can bet the quality of the product is low also.  I have found that cheaper juices taste more like water than juice, as if they have been watered down dramatically.  Others I have found to have a very bitter taste, which I do not find to my liking at all.

Typically (in my opinion), if the price is higher, then the juice tastes more crisp, clean and yummy.  When making this smoothie, be sure to use high-quality apple juice, the flavor will impress you!

You should also consider the banana.  Do not use a banana that is not ripe enough, nor that may be too ripe.  Bananas that are not yet ripe, usually have a green tint to the skin.  These impart a very bitter flavor to smoothies.

If a banana is too ripe, you will notice brown marks on it, and although a banana like this is still edible, you will not want to use an overripe banana when making smoothies.  You want to use bananas that are firm and sweet, to make the most flavorful smoothie imaginable!
